As part of a major hiring initiative, the Department of Economics invites applications for six tenured and tenure-track positions. Ph.D. in economics is required by the time of appointment. All fields are welcome, but hiring will be concentrated in applied micro theory and empirical microeconomics. Candidates for the international finance position should be well versed in time series econometrics. The positions are open with respect to rank, but we expect these hires to be at the assistant or associate professor level. Senior candidates with outstanding research and teaching records should submit a cover letter, resume, and names of references. Junior candidates with demonstrated research and teaching potential should submit a resume, three letters of reference, research papers, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled. For fullest consideration, applications for tenure-track positions should be received by November 15. We are deeply committed to increasing diversity and especially encourage applications from women and minority scholars.
