Bio

Michael Nelson grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas.  He received a B.A. in Economics from Emporia State University and a Ph.D. in Economics from Washington State University.  He joined the Economics Department at Texas A&M University in 2000.  Dr. Nelson teaches a variety of courses including Principles of Macroeconomics, Microeconomic Theory, Applied Microeconomic Theory, and Environmental Economics.  In his spare time, Dr. Nelson enjoys walking his highly energetic dog, working on projects around the house, and watching baseball.
