Call for Authors

Call for Authors
(September/30/09)

KAEA has recently made an agreement with Samsung Economic Research Institute (SERI, http://www.seriworld.org/). According to the MOU, selected KAEA members will contribute an article to each SERI Quarterly - to be published in January, April, July, and October. Compensation is $1500.00 per article, to be paid when the submitted article is approved for publication.

The Quarterly targets general audience within the fields of business and economics. Most but not all articles are related to current issues in macro, finance, technology, and international areas. More information about the scope and topics of articles that have been published in the previous issues can be found at http://www.seriworld.org/seriquarterly/wldQMain.html.

KAEA is now accepting applications for those who will write articles for the 4 issues to be published in 2010. If you are interested, please email your application to Professor Yoonbai Kim at ykim01@uky.edu by October 6, 2009: (1) a cover letter indicating which issue of the Quarterly you prefer to publish, (2) your CV, (3) one or two writing samples, and (4) a 500-1,000 word abstract of the article you are proposing to write. Your application will be reviewed by the committee selected from SERI and KAEA. Those who wish to publish in the January 2010 issue should submit—instead of an abstract mentioned in (4)—an article that is either completed or near completion.

Applications will be accepted only from the lifetime KAEA members or those who have paid the membership dues for both 2008 and 2009 prior to submission. In the case of coauthored articles, at least one author must be a member.
