The Korea Economic Institute (KEI) is issuing a call for papers for the next round of its Academic Paper Series - a program to generate monthly academic papers followed by a public discussion of topical issues related to the Korean Peninsula. KEI has commissioned twenty six papers in this series so far, on a variety of topics.

President Yoonbai Kim makes the following announcement:

"The Far East and South Asia Meeting of the Econometric Society (FESAMES) will be held in Tokyo on August 3-5, 2009. Submission deadline is April 20. For details, please refer to FESAMES homepage.

This year KAEA and Korean Economic Association (KEA) are considering having one or more joint sessions at the FESAMES. If you wish to submit your paper independently, please do so through the Conference Maker. (Please note that FESAMES accepts submissions in PDF format only.)

If you wish to present a paper in the KAEA-KEA joint session, please send your paper by April 18 to Professor Kwang Soo Cheong at kscheong@jhu.edu.

We apologize for giving KAEA members such a short notice for the conference. Please note that KAEA will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by its members due to this conference."
