2006 SEA/KAEA Meeting
2006 SEA/KAEA Meeting

The following is the report by President Suk H. Kim about the SEA/KAEA meeting.

"I have just returned from the SEA convention held in Charleston, SC, during which the KAEA had two sessions. The KAEA sessions were very successful because the attendance in both sessions was pretty good and paper presenters attracted a consideral number of questions and comments from the audience. More than half of the audience were non-Korean Americans who accounted for practically all of the questions and comments from the floor. I think these people attended KAEA sessions because they had a special interest in Korean and East Asian economic issues. On behalf of the KAEA, I wish to express my thanks to Dr. Semoon Chang for organizing these successful KAEA sessions at the the SEA convention. Dr. Chang is one of the most unselfish men I have ever known in my entire life. On the top of all this time and energy he has spent on these KAEA session for many months, he has refused to get any financial support from the KAEA except for one dinner."
