Election of 2005 Executive Committee Members and an Advisory Board Member

The following nominees for the 2005 executive committee and advisory board have been elected by email ballot. The voting rate was very low this year - only 23 members out of 72 eligible voters cast their votes.

ASSA-KAEA Meeting

The final program for the ASSA/KAEA meeting is posted at ASSA/KAEA Program.

In addition to the three regular sessions and Business Meeting, this year's program includes three Workshops and a special forum on January 9 (Sunday). In the special forum, Presidents from KDI, KERI and KIF will present their views about Korean economy.

Note that there will be Breakfast Buffet right before the special forum and Workshops.

Liberty Society
Liberty Society - Organizational Meeting

Liberty Society, tentatively titled, will have its organizational meeting over dinner on Saturday, January 8, 2005 during the ASSA conference in Philadelphia . At KAEA banquet that evening we will identify those who express interest in Liberty Society and will continue discussion at the hotel lobby or any convenient place. The purpose of the society is to develop a communication network for those interested in Classical Liberal thought on economics and political philosophy.

If you are interested in this organization, please join us. Our first project will be to develop an email list and a webpage for communication. The second will be to connect with liberty-oriented organizations in Korea such as the Hayek Society of Korea. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.
