Election of Executive Committee Members

Nominees for the executive committee positions for the year 2002 are Professors Bong-Soo Lee at University of Houston for the President-Elect, Suchan Chae at Rice University for the Vice-President, Yoonbai Kim at University of Kentucky for Secretary General, and Soyoung Kim at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for Treasurer. The ballots will be emailed soon to all voting memebers of the KAEA, those who paid 2001 annual membership dues or lifetime mebership dues. The ballots are Word and Wordperfect files. Voters are asked to fill out either file and return it to hwang@econ.tamu.edu by December 15, 2001. If you have any problem with opening either file, then you may take a look at the file in pdf format posted here ( ballot ), and just send an email to hwang@econ.tamu.edu, inicating how you vote.

North Korea Conference in Washington, D.C.

2001 KAEA-SEA meeting

The KAEA sponsored two sessions at the Southern Economic Association's 71st Annual Conference at Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel, Tampa, Florida, on November 17-19, 2001. Prof. H. Youn Kim at the Western Kentucky University organized the program, which can be seen by clicking on PROGRAM
