KIM, Hak Y.: had a serious accident. Haeshin Hwang sent out the following email to the KAEA members on May 3.

"I am very sorry to convey a sad news to the members about Professor Hak Youn Kim. He served as a vp last year, and also has been organizing the KAEA sessions at the SEA meetings for many many years.

I learned two days ago that Professor Kim had a serious accident (not a car accident) while he was visiting New Zealand. He is now at Craig Hospital in Colorado.

I talked to his wife and could not ask her too much about his condition. Considering that Craig Hospital is a world renowned hospital specializing in the spinal cord injury, his injury must be very serious. I hope you all pray for him.

From my personal experience a few years ago, it is very painful to answer all the well-intended phone calls and repeat the same thing.I suggest that you send a get-well card or send him an email rather than calling him. His email address is youn.kim@wku.edu, and the address of the hospital is

Craig Hospital, 3425 S. Clarkson St. Englewood, CO 80113, (303) 789-8000 "
__________________________ Professor Bang Nam Jeon, the Treasurer, arranged for flower to be delivered to the hospital:

The flower along with a message wishing a quick and full recovery by all KAEA members is going to be delivered Thursday morning. We all indeed hope that he will recover quickly and fully."
