KWACK, Sung Y.:Hope you had a nice summer and are ready to meet the fall semester. I came back here from Seoul last monday. I organized a webbsite organization, called Korea Center for Growth and Competitiveness, with several friends in Seoul, intended to give and exchange information among the persons who are interested in and doing research on growth centered topics such as tech, edu, investment, competitiveness, etc. Advisory members are Park Sung Yong, Kim Kihwan, Lee Hunje, and Yonsei Univ. Business school prof. The center will be located at Yonsei univ(?) and have a meeting in the middle of December, Seoul, announcing its establishment and paper presentation. As the website and meeting schedule are finalized, I will let you know. Pls join the group and give your published and working papers to be included in the website. Your suggestions are welcome.

Yoon, Yeomin: has been appointed Senior Special Fellow of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research
(UNITAR). Yoon served as Academic Advisor to the UNITAR's New York Office for the past four years. As Senior Special
Fellow, he will be actively involved in establishing the UNITAR Centre in the Pacific / Asia (currently called
the Hiroshima Programme) in Hiroshima, Japan.
