about me
I
am
an assistant professor of economics at Texas
A&M University. I got my
Ph.D. from the Department
of Economics at
Stanford
University in 2009 and I
graduated from Princeton
University in
2002 with an A.B. in Economics and a certificate in
Applied
&
Computational Mathematics. My research interests include investigating
individuals' decisions - such as whether to make a charitable donation
- and their reasons for making them.
My wife Jennifer and I got married in Seattle on July 5, 2009. Clearly
the better half of the
relationship, she graduated from Stanford with an M.B.A. and a
Masters in Education and now works for Teach for America. Our son, Eli,
was born on January 26, 2011. |

was a member of
the Princeton
University
Competitive Swimming and Diving Team.
I enjoy
traveling, though
am frequently laden with my road or mountain bike and my camera
equipment. Some of my photographs can be found here. When
I'm at home, I like planting things, especially fruit and roses,
experimenting with cocktails and infusions, and cooking, especially
sous vide.
