My research focuses primarily on children and young adults, but I sometimes delve into other areas when I'm struck by a research question that's too interesting or important to pass up. See my research page for more details.

In teaching, I think the most important thing is to get students excited about the topic. I also think it's important to not take sides so students can learn how economists approach problems, what sorts of things they consider, and what types of arguments they respect.

I love soccer. I follow MLS when I can find the time and am a huge supporter of the The US National Soccer Team. Don't get me started talking about them.

According to scientific tests, if I were a superhero I would be Spider-Man; if I were an action movie villain I would be Agent Smith; and if I were a famous leader I would be Ghandi.
