NEO Accounts

The University provides each student with a NEO mailbox. The address of which is NETID@neo.tamu.edu. Also, mail sent to NETID@tamu.edu will automatically be forwarded to your NEO mailbox. You can change the destination of your @tamu.edu address(or addresses, see below) by editing your NETID account.

You can set up two additional @tamu.edu addresses. For example, you could create First.Last@tamu.edu, and it will forward to the same destination as your NETID@tamu.edu address.  This can also be done by editing your NETID Directory Information.

EconMail Accounts

The department will provide you with an econmail mailbox. It will receive e-mail sent to name@econ.tamu.edu and to name@econmail.tamu.edu. You can also set up the @tamu.edu addresses to forward to this address.

External Access to E-mail

You can set up E-mail Clients and Mobile Devices to connect to your mailboxes to obviate the web interface and enable on-the-go access. The TAMU helpdesk gives detailed instructions for a number of software applications; Techdocs includes iPhones. For more advanced users, the server settings are compiled below.
