• Represent the interests of the graduate students to the faculty.
• Collect concerns from the graduate students and communicate pertinent information to them.
• Cultivate relationships and facilitate information flow among the student body, faculty, and staff.
• Organize opportunities for graduate students to present resarch.
• Facilitate communication between current students and with former students of the Economics Department.
• Represent graduate students of the Economics Department at the Graduate Student Council (GSC) of the university.
• Provide support to the staff in specific tasks such as organization of meetings and events for both current and prospective students.
• Organize academic social events for the department.

The EGSA has a permamanent email address where all students can actively participate by providing suggestions, comments, complaints, or praise.
