The EGSA is intended to be the representative
voice for the student body in the
Economics Department. Its purposes
are:
 |
Represent the interests of graduate students to faculty. |
|
|
Collect concerns from graduate
students and communicate pertinent information to them. |
|
|
Cultivate relationships and
facilitate information flow among the student body, faculty and
staff. |
|
|
Organize opportunities for graduate
students to present research. |
|
|
Facilitate communication between
current students and with former students of the Economics
nDepartment. |
|
|
Represent graduate students of the
Economics Department at the Graduate Student Council (GSC)
nof the
university. |
|
|
Provide support to the staff in
specific tasks such as organization of meetings and events for both
ncurrent and prospective students. |
|
|
Organize academic and social events
for the Department. |

The EGSA has a permanent email address where
all students can actively participate providing any suggestions,
comments, or complaints that the association can take into consideration
and discuss during regular meetings.
