Professor Guoqiang Tian received his Ph.D. in 1987 from University of Minnesota. He joined the Department of Economics at Texas A&M University in 1987. His areas of specialization include economic theory, mechanism design, mathematical economics, Chinese economy, economics of transition, and optimization theory.
