Special Announcements (1999) - S. Charles Maurice Graduate Fellowship
Glaze, Paige Riddick: "I just wanted to let you know that we are back in San Diego, CA, where I have accepted a position as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. I started work in October, and my first project is to evaluate an IT system on behalf of an office within the Department of the Navy. I am optimistic that the project will be challenging and rewarding. I am currently working part-time (26 hours per week), which allows me the necessary flexibility to care for the children after school and manage our household without losing my sanity. As family demands diminish over time I hope to revise my work schedule accordingly." (posted on January 18)
Hackett, Steve: "Greetings from the redwoods of northwestern California. I was browsing the alumni directory for TAMU - very nice. It
was fun to see what my former student colleagues are doing today. A few updates:
-- I have managed to hand off the Chair job to another, thank goodness -- so you can scratch the "& Chair" reference from my title.
-- I am also Principal Economist for Planwest Partners in Arcata, CA. www.planwestpartners.com." (posted on February 11)
Zavarce, Harold: In his email to update his directory information he writes "Here at the Economic Research Office at the Central Bank of Venezuela there is a pretty good concentration of aggies Graduate Alumni. I work with Carolina Pagliacci and Omar Mendoza. They will also update their record in the Directory. This is my update information for the Directory of Economics Graduate Alumni with new contact information and current positions. In 2005, I was promoted as a Chief Economist of the economic research office at the Central Bank of Venezuela and since 2004 I am assistant professor at the Catholic University Andrés Bello teaching macroeconomics in its economic department."
